Omaroo Terrace

The character proposed with the design is contemporary with clean lines and simple cubiform shapes. Streetscape that is of an appropriate scale in keeping with the existing architectural forms of its neighbours. External façades that provide an attractive outcome to pedestrians, from all viewing distances and angles. 

The design propose a smooth landscape design that provides optimal levels of external amenity and has a positive impact on the neighbourhood. All planning takes into consideration the sloping site; hugging the ground with stepped forms. The development provides a spacious yet convenient alternative for residents looking to downsize but remain in their locality.

 

Omaroo Terrace can address market conditions by providing a high standard of living that will reflect the quality and value of the land while gearing for future growth in the City. The design responds to the distinctive characteristics of the neighbourhood and reflects a contemporary interpretation of the existing townscape with its cubiform style, enhancing the identity of the area. With careful consideration of contrasting solids and voids, the façades articulate cubic forms. This is emphasised with the selection of materials, colours and stepping forms. 

 

The proposal is sensitive to the finer-grained proportions of freestanding houses in the neighbourhood. 

To be able to achieve that, the main facade on Omaroo Terrace reflects a vertical articulation. This breaks down the mass of the development and helps integrate with the proportions of the existing streetscape.
