Space Shift
Spaceshift concept is an affordable housing system delivered by an independent developer/ builder/ designer consortium.
Dual aspect apartments open out to balconies and terraces located in the infill spaces above/ below and between modules. This allows occupants to have both views of the ocean, plus garden and amenity on the wind-protected side. Designed to be tailored to fit each location, the concept provides one and two storey units of two and three bedroom apartments interlocking in a tetris-like arrangement.
Spaceshift consists of a base module of through-apartments with client selected additions that can be added above/below or either side of the base module.
The delivery of site is the basic substrate modular form with a selection of materials/ finishes colours. External cladding to be locally sourced and assembled timber framing with owner selected finishes from material palette. It is a ‘Plug and Play’ modular system that offers community flexibility in its arrangement on site. Prefabricated units built in Australian or regional warehouse locations, craned in place for assembly in 3 weeks. This system is ready to roll out and adaptable to other sites.
